👀 The Stranger Things ad marathon has just begun
Doritos just dropped a UK spot that yanks a retro TV studio straight into the Upside Down — complete with a de-aged Anneka Rice and a clean, cinematic VFX turn from Absolute Post.
Netflix is rolling the final season of one it’s most successful shows out in three drops — Nov 26, Dec 25, Dec 31 — giving marketers (and FOOH creators) a month-long runway for crossover ads, retail tie-ins, and location stunts. Target already announced a nationwide push with in-store activations and exclusive merch.

DirecTV is rolling out AI-generated, shoppable screensavers on its Gemini devices: scan a QR, drop in photos of you (yes, even your dog), and the TV builds scenes you can edit by voice—then shop look-alike items on your phone.
Launch is slated for next year / early 2026. This turns “idle time” into retail time—and a brand new canvas for creative commerce.
And this isn’t happening in a vacuum. At the same time, Walmart is moving into ChatGPT, letting you browse and check out inside the chat—no app, no site—starting this fall. That’s agentic commerce in the wild: you ask; the bot finds; you buy.
💡 When a CGI artist sells AI
German CGI artist Pascal Brandt (@pascal.zero7) just kicked off a collab with InVideo AI.
The bigger signal: AI is moving from an anxiety inducing novelty to an everyday utility. A workable workflow is taking shape, and it’s no longer taboo to say so, especially when respected CG creators lean in.
Where (and if) it fits your pipeline is the interesting part.
