McDonald’s Netherlands released a fully AI-generated Christmas campaign, and it’s not the usual holiday storyline.

The spot, titled “The Most Terrible Time of the Year,” leans into December stress: chaotic dinners, shopping overload, family tension, and all the messy moments that usually get edited out of festive advertising.

It’s intentionally imperfect, exaggerated through AI, and positions McDonald’s as the “small escape” from holiday pressure.
