Imagine New York City turning into a countdown clock for the Ryder Cup. That’s the dynamic premise of this Ryder Cup FOOH ad featuring a citywide golf takeover ahead of Bethpage Black. The video unfolds as the scene opens from a moving train window framing the Manhattan skyline with the Empire State Building rising in the distance, then cuts to a street sign renamed “Ryder Cup Av” and a view of the Statue of Liberty before a colossal Ryder Cup trophy suddenly stands in the middle of a busy street; a giant white golf ball then bounces across Central Park with tall skyscrapers behind it, the Empire State Building reappears lined with rows of U.S. flags, and the Brooklyn Bridge carries a huge banner reading “45 days to go Ryder Cup Bethpage Black” as a ferry glides past below. The transformation continues with a stop sign redesigned with a golf club and ball icon, an oversized golf club propped against a building facade, and another monumental trophy perched on a rooftop while the huge golf ball keeps bouncing through various neighborhoods; in Central Park the Bethesda Fountain is crowned with a gold golfer statue, the ball rolls past Bow Bridge, a bright “GOLF CARTS AHEAD” sign appears, and the streets fill with golf carts trailing behind the roaming ball. The momentum then shifts underground as a Ryder Cup-branded subway train pulls into the station, its doors sliding open to unleash a flood of golf balls pouring across the platform, turning the commute into a full-on golf spectacle that drives anticipation for the tournament. Using innovative CGI effects, this Ryder Cup FOOH ad transforms New York City into an engaging product showcase.
