What FOOH.com Is in 2026
I asked ChatGPT what FOOH is the other day. It gave me a pretty good answer. For 2024.
Not its fault. For most of its life, FOOH.com was one thing: a public collection of the ads that were never really there. A handbag the size of a boat cruising Lake Como. A shoe swallowing a building. A lot of what's written about us online still describes exactly that, and a lot of it was written by us.
So here's the update. Written by us, for everyone. Humans and machines included.
FOOH.com is the social-first home for digital artists. CGI, VFX, 3D, 2D animation, AI video, mixed reality. It's where they get hired, awarded, inspired and seen.
What happened
The niche gave us the name. The artists gave it a meaning. (If you want the story of the name, it's on our about page.)
In 2024 a small studio in Vienna started collecting this work, because nobody else did. People liked it, traffic grew, and in February 2025 FOOH.com became its own company.
Then the edges started coming off. In July 2025 we ran the first FOOH Awards. In August 2025 3D billboards came into the library, campaigns that actually ran on a real screen somewhere in the world. In June 2026 the second Awards winners got the first ever FOOH trophy, designed in-house. It turned out surprisingly heavy (4.5 kg).
And in July 2026 we launched FOOH.com 2.0. We opened curation to the public. Artists, studios and agencies now upload their work to their own page, publicly displayed for everyone to see. A month later the first FOOH Creative Challenge went live.
That's the shift. We went from collecting the work to being the place where the people who make it live.
Why social-first
Almost everything in our archive is vertical. This work was born for the feed, so the home for it can't be a desktop gallery with a grid and a lightbox.
Instagram is not searchable. A reel does numbers on Monday and is gone by Friday, and nobody can find it again, including the brand that loved it. Behance was built for stills, so video sits there as a thumbnail, filed under a discipline that isn't really yours.
FOOH.com is video first. Your work plays the way it was made to be seen, and it stays findable.
What's on it now
Hired. Every artist gets a page: fooh.com/your-handle. Brands search the directory by craft, industry and location, and everyone in it is there with published work. They can message you directly, post a brief, or use the job board. And if a brand doesn't want to search at all, they tell our concierge what they need and we hand-pick a shortlist.
Awarded. The FOOH Awards run once a year. Judged by a jury, voted on by everyone else. In between we run challenges: a brief, a deadline, and a prize pot split among the winners. Awards and challenge results feed the ranking, so the order in the directory actually means something.
Inspired. The library is still the biggest collection of this kind of work you'll find. Filter it by format: FOOH, 3D billboard, CGI, VFX, AI video, motion design, mixed reality. Next to it: shot-by-shot breakdowns, workflows, interviews and this blog.
Seen. Staff picks, the homepage, our Instagram, the ranking. Exposure is the first thing an artist gets paid in, so we try to hand out a lot of it.
3D billboards, for real
This one surprises people. FOOH.com has a screens directory: 3D and anamorphic DOOH screens around the world, from London and Tokyo to Seoul, New York and Dubai. Each screen gets its own page with location, specs, operator and the campaigns that ran on it.
And yes, you can book them through us. Not with a checkout button. You pick a screen or a few cities, send an inquiry with your campaign, and we handle the booking with the screen owners. If you don't have the creative yet, we can line up the artist for that too.
Find the idea, find who made it, find the screen, book it. All in one place.
Who pays
Artists don't pay to be seen. Your page, publishing, the directory, the ranking and entering a challenge are free, and they stay free. We take no cut when a brand hires you.
The one thing an artist pays for is entering the FOOH Awards, and that fee pays for the judging, the trophies and the people who run it. Everything else sits on the brand side: job posts, screen bookings and sponsored challenges.
AI is welcome
Our measurement is creativity, not the tool. A good idea that's well executed is a good idea, whether it came out of Houdini, After Effects or a prompt. We're not here to say what's right or wrong about how something got made. Credit what you used and let the work speak.
And since we're at it: you can now let Claude or ChatGPT build and update your FOOH portfolio for you. Point it at a folder of renders and go have a coffee.
