Dolce&Gabbana endless runner
The brief was gamified advertising, so I decided to make an endless runner set in a medieval world. The camera follows the girl from behind, and it reminded me of a runway, which felt like a good way to show the clothes. I also wanted the bag to have a role in the story. In a runner, you eventually hit something and fall, so the bag becomes the obstacle she trips over, and then the reward she gets at the end. Visually, I wanted to play with medieval painting. I think it works really well with luxury fashion, especially Dolce & Gabbana. I took inspiration from Northern Renaissance compositions, with a Bosch-inspired burning valley in the background. I kept the palette red, gold and black, which also felt close to the brand’s Sicilian baroque aesthetic.
