OVERTHINKER’S SERIES

Short Animations Bringing Thoughts to Life

OVERTHINKER’S SERIES is a collection of short GIF animations and playful moving images created by artist-illustrator UUendy Lau (UU). Through movement, humour and everyday scenarios, these animations bring the project's characters and ideas to life, capturing the spontaneous, restless and sometimes absurd nature of an overthinking mind.

Designed as light-hearted visual snippets, they offer bite-sized moments of recognition and amusement for audiences to enjoy, share and relate to. More than simply promotional content, animation serves as another creative medium through which the characters, storytelling and humour continue to evolve, offering a more immediate and playful way to experience the spirit of OVERTHINK.

OVERTHINKER’S SERIES is a spin-off from OVERTHINK, an ongoing illustration project in which the artist-illustrator draws on her own experiences as an overthinker to explore the many layers of an overactive mind. Through personal narratives and visual storytelling, the project offers a fresh perspective on a habit often viewed negatively, inviting us to look beyond its challenges and recognise the sensitivity, curiosity and creativity it can bring.
