Connecting an AI assistant to your profile

Let Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code or another assistant create and update your FOOH profile and publish your work — how to connect, what it can and can't do, uploads from your disk or a Dropbox/Drive link, limits, and how to disconnect.

You can connect an AI assistant — Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and others that support MCP connectors — to your FOOH account. Then you can ask it things like "publish the finals in my Renders folder to FOOH, one work per campaign, with brand, year and credits" and it does the uploading and form-filling for you. Connecting

The quickest way: open Account → Connected apps. It has step-by-step instructions for Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code and other apps, with copy buttons for the address and commands. (Your Work page shows a Connect an assistant button too, until you've connected one.)

Every assistant connects to the same address:

  • Claude (web, desktop, mobile): Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Paste the address, then click Connect.
  • Claude Code: install the FOOH plugin with /plugin marketplace add fooh-hub/fooh-plugin and /plugin install fooh@fooh, or add only the connector with claude mcp add --transport http fooh https://fooh.com/mcp.
  • ChatGPT: turn on developer mode in settings and add a custom connector with the address, using OAuth. Custom connectors aren't available on every plan.
  • Anything else: add a remote MCP server (streamable HTTP) with the address.

The first time, the assistant opens a FOOH page. Sign in (or sign up — it's free), check the name of the app asking, and click Approve. Only approve a request you just started yourself.

What it can do

Only things on your own account:

  • Create your profile if you don't have one yet, and edit it: name, handle, bio, links, availability, showreel, capabilities, tools and industries.
  • Upload videos and images and publish them as works, with work types, brand, year, credits and location — or save them as drafts.
  • Edit, reorder and delete your works.
  • Search FOOH's public talent and work, the same data anyone sees on fooh.com.

It can't read or send your messages, change your login, email or password, pay for anything, or touch anyone else's profile. The same rules apply as on the website: a published work needs at least one image or video and one work type, and a client project needs a brand and a year.

Work an assistant publishes goes live straight away, like work you upload yourself, and the FOOH team reviews it the same way. Only publish work you made or co-made, with honest credits.

Getting files to FOOH

  • From your disk (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor — anything with a terminal): the assistant gets a one-time upload link and sends the file straight to FOOH's video and image host. Big files upload in resumable chunks.
  • From a link (any assistant, including the chat apps): paste a Dropbox or Google Drive share link, or a direct link to the file. Share it as anyone with the link. FOOH's media host fetches it directly.

Videos take a few minutes to process after upload; the assistant can check when one is ready. The same limits as the website apply — see troubleshooting video uploads: up to 30 minutes, at most 200 Mbps (re-export ProRes as H.264 or H.265 first), images up to 10 MB.

To keep accounts safe, an assistant can create up to 30 works an hour and 100 a day per account. If it hits a limit, it's told to wait.

Keeping your profile maintained

The talent directory favours profiles that are kept current. Ask your assistant for your profile health to see what counts and what's missing:

  • new work in the last 90 days that the FOOH team has reviewed,
  • a showreel,
  • at least one capability, tool and industry,
  • your availability confirmed in the last 60 days (saving it again counts, even if nothing changed).

Disconnecting

Go to Account → Connected apps to see every assistant that can act for you, when it was connected and when it was last used. Disconnect cuts its access immediately. Work it already published stays on your profile — edit or delete it like any other work.
