Entering a challenge
How to enter a FOOH challenge brief — sign up, see the brief, and submit your work.
FOOH challenges are brand briefs you enter for cash prizes. The best part: entering builds your FOOH profile, with your new work already in your portfolio. There's one challenge running at a time — find it on the challenges page.
Signing up is entering
When you hit Read the full brief, you either log in or create an account on the spot. Creating an account asks for just a few things — your studio or creator name, talent type, country and city, and your Instagram — because that's enough to give you a good-looking profile from day one. You can flesh it out later under Account → Profile.
The full brief sits behind sign-up, so you'll see it once you're in.
Read the brief but life got in the way? If you haven't entered as the deadline approaches, we'll send you one reminder email a few days before submissions close — and none after you submit. You can switch these off under email notifications (Tips & account reminders).
Questions about the brief?
Check the FAQs first: the challenge page answers the universal questions (tools, rights, who can enter), and a Brief FAQ right under the full brief covers brief-specific ones like format and how to interpret the concept.
Still unclear? Right under the brief there's an Ask a question button. It sends your question straight to the FOOH team, and we reply in your messages — usually within a day. Use it before you start if anything about the brief is unclear.
Submitting your work
- One entry per person. Make something new for the brief — it's not a portfolio pick.
- Video-first. Upload your video the same way you would any work (drag and drop; we handle the processing).
- Give it a title and an optional description, accept the challenge terms, and submit. Tap terms & conditions in the checkbox to read the full challenge rules in a pop-up before you agree.
Changed your mind? Withdraw
While submissions are open you can withdraw your entry — from Account → Challenges or from the challenge's enter page. Withdrawing removes your entry and deletes the uploaded video, and frees your one entry slot, so you can submit a new take on the brief any time before the deadline.
Once the submission deadline passes, your entry is final: no withdrawing, no editing. Uploading is a conscious commitment — our team reviews a stable field of entries.
Our team curates the entries
Every entry goes through curation — our team reviews all submissions and picks the shortlist for the voting phase. Nothing happens in public while curation runs: no entry is visible to other entrants, so nobody can see (or one-up) your idea before voting starts. During this window the challenge page simply says submissions are closed and voting opens soon.
When voting opens, every shortlisted entry goes live at the same moment — your work appears in the challenge's voting gallery and joins your portfolio at the same time, and everyone learns their outcome together: you'll get an email either way, whether your entry made the shortlist (time to share it and gather votes!) or not this time. Entries that don't make the shortlist stay private. Outcome emails respect your challenge-email preference under Account → Notifications.
Track your entry any time under Account → Challenges. Until voting opens it reads Entered — that's the finished state: your submission is in and nothing more is needed from you. It flips to Shortlisted or Not shortlisted the moment voting opens.
