Controlling your email notifications

You decide which emails FOOH sends you. Open Notifications in your account settings and flip any category on or off — changes save the moment you toggle them, so there's no Save button to hit.

What you can turn on or off

• Messages & project requests — when another member messages you or sends a project request, plus the reminders about a first contact you haven't answered.
• Work enquiries — when someone uses "Get in touch" on one of your work pages.
• Job applications — when a creator applies to a job or project you posted.
• Challenge updates — a brief you're waiting on going live, your entry being approved, and results.
• Tips & account reminders — occasional nudges about your own account, like finishing your profile, a workflow draft you left sitting, or a challenge brief you read whose deadline is coming up (one reminder per challenge, and only if you haven't entered). Separate from team announcements, with its own switch.
• Newsletter & product news — occasional FOOH news, tips and product updates.

Everything is on by default. Turn off anything you'd rather not get — the rest keeps working as normal.

The same page also holds one setting that isn't about email: Show read receipts, the in-thread "Read" mark other members see once you've read their message. It's reciprocal — turn it off and you won't see theirs either. Details in messaging and project requests.

Unsubscribe straight from an email

Every notification email has a footer with Manage your email preferences and a one-click unsubscribe from these link. The unsubscribe link switches off that one category without you having to log in. You can always switch it back on later from the Notifications page.

These emails also support your mail app's native unsubscribe — the Unsubscribe button Gmail, Apple Mail, and others show next to the sender. Using it switches off the same single category, nothing more.

The newsletter

Turning Newsletter & product news off unsubscribes you from the newsletter completely, so you won't get it from anywhere. Turn it back on whenever you like and you're resubscribed.

What you can't switch off

A few emails aren't optional because they're about your account itself — password resets, for example. Those always go out so you can get back into your account when you need to.
