Claiming your work

Found your work in the FOOH library under nobody's name? Claim it and it moves onto your profile.

Part of the FOOH library is work we collected before its creator joined. Nobody owns those entries yet. If one of them is yours, you can claim it, and once we've checked, it moves onto your profile like any of your own uploads.

Spotting a claimable entry

Open the work's page. An entry nobody has claimed shows a Claim this work button under its credits.

If we imported a name for the work, it reads Who we think created this: followed by that name, as plain text. That's our best guess from the old site, not a confirmed credit. It doesn't matter whether the guess is right, wrong or names you: the button is there either way, and so is every other credit line (agency, production, VFX, sound, creative director). None of them stops you from claiming.

Work that already belongs to a member never shows the button.

Filing a claim

  1. Press Claim this work.
  2. Not signed in? The sign-in box opens. Sign in or create an account, and you land back on the same entry with the claim form open.
  3. No profile yet? We take you through onboarding first, because the work needs a profile to move onto. Whatever you answer there, you come back to the entry with the claim form open.
  4. In the form, pick your role (Artist, Production Company, Agency, VFX, Sound or Creative Director) and, if you like, add a message: a link to the project, who you made it with, anything that helps us check it.
  5. Press Send claim.

Your name and email come from your account, so there's nothing else to type.

While we check

Straight after you send it, the entry reads Claim under review, for you and for everyone else, in place of the button. Only one claim can be open on an entry at a time, so if someone else got there first you'll see the same note instead of the button.

The outcome

We email you either way:

  • Approved: the work moves onto your profile, with its credits as they were. From then on it's yours to edit, like any of your own uploads, and an Artist credit links to your profile. The email links to the work and to your profile.
  • Not approved: we couldn't verify it's yours. The entry goes back to unclaimed, and you can reply to the email with proof, or claim it again with a message that helps us check.

This email always goes out, whatever your notification settings say.
